Our Team

Meagan Mothershed

Meagan Mothershed

Meagan grew up watching her mom bake and decorate cakes. However, she is not planning on joining the business. She is working on her Master's Degree in Rehab Counseling. At the shop, she is a great help with baking, icing cupcakes and she can make an awesome milkshake.

Tracy Mothershed

Tracy Mothershed

Tracy has been decorating cakes over 20 years and has always dreamed of having her own shop. Her dream became a reality in December, 2011. She believes a cake should not only look good, but taste good as well. With each cake, Tracy is baking memories for her customers.

Katie Howe

Katie Howe

Katie became fascinated with cupcakes while on vacation in San Diego. When she came in for an interview, she said she would be a perfect taste tester. Well, 2 years later she is a baker and decorator. She learns more each day. However, she's not too crazy about taste testing anymore.

F.A.Q

1. Why are y’all not open on Sundays and Mondays?

Sunday is our day for God, family, and rest. Even though we are closed on Mondays, we are busy working. We need that one day for paperwork, ordering, restocking, and cleaning.

2. How long have you been open?

We opened December 6, 2011.

3. What forms of payment do you accept?

We take cash, of course, checks, and credit/debit cards. We are now accepting American Express, though only on purchases of $20 or more due to their processing fees.

4. Do y’all decorate cakes?

Yes, we decorate custom cakes for any occasion.

5. Y’all should be on Cupcake Wars!!

We get told this everyday by at least one person. However, we have no desire to be on the show. Their judges are mean!

6. Why can’t I get a cake the same day?

We specialize in fresh baked cakes. Nothing is frozen. We cannot just pull a cake out and slap some icing on it.

7. May I place a pre-order?

Please!! We love pre-orders. We ask for a 48 hours’ notice for both cupcakes and dessert cakes. We book about 6 weeks out for custom designed cakes.
Please understand if we are booked, then we cannot just fit in one more.

8. Do you deliver or ship?

Not at this time except for weddings or large corporate events.

9. Do you discount for bulk?

There is a small discount between 1, 6, and 12 but once you buy a dozen the price is the same. It takes the same amount of ingredients and care to make 1 or 100.

10. What about special dietary needs?

Because we are a small bakery and bake everything fresh we cannot offer a variety for everyone – sugar free, gluten free, nut free, vegan, etc. So we keep it simple and make it good.

11. How should I store my baked goods?

We bake fresh and hope that you enjoy your treat the same day as purchased.
If you must store them, we recommend at room temperature in an airtight container such as a Rubbermaid or Tupperware, away from heat or a sunny window.

12. Why do y’all run out of baked goods?

We are a small bakery specializing in fresh baked desserts. We do not mass produce and have an endless supply “in the back.”
We do not freeze or store extras. We do bake continuously throughout the day and try to keep the case full.

13. Do you offer apprenticeship?

Even though I would love to teach everyone the art of baking and decorating our kitchen just isn’t large enough.
